Yoda-esque Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 No.. Eden Gradens prepared a dodgy pitch. India put the opposition in fearing Jayasuriya instead of batting first. Backfired big time. Floodlight fell on the pitch before the WC and scuffed up the pitch
PBN Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 brazill misses an easy one. germany would've put that in goal tonite
rajmarie Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I was young at that time so I didnt give a crap about anything. Did the pitch deteriorate or was it that way the whole game? How did the lungans score so much? And the stark difference when Sachin was batting and others were huge. I was at Eden...pathetic feeling. The pitch was covered for so long before the WC started for such a boring opening ceremony. The pitch was good & hard at the start. But after some overs in Indias innings....Jayasuria only option if he wanted to bowl a straight delivery was a full toss. He was pitching a good foot outside leg & the ball was going to hit off & collected behind outside off. Plus Brain freeze moment from Sachin & then the rest just failed
King Tendulkar Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Actually I meant the 1996 semis against SL' date=' not 1987. Yes that's the one, tragedy at home.[/quote'] But we only lost. This is humiliation. Only 50 all out would be same
surajmal Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 5 billion USD spent for the biggest loss in WC history? Yeah, again, Dilma Rousseff isn't coming back as the President.
maniac Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I remember SRT as usual let down by the clowns in his team :(( Also Kambli crying in the end :(( :((
Sachin=GOD Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 brazill misses an easy one. germany would've put that in goal tonite Nothing is easy when you have THE best keeper in the World. Neuer is brilliant.
veer Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 IMO...Brazil high physical game against Columbia is bitting them now also. They know that they got away with murder in that match....lost 2 important players in the process & were able to push Columbia out & get into SF. But they also know that now if they repeat the same physical game...they risk being sent off. Plus..they just lost the plot after the 1st goal. True!! Winning Columbia game had big prize to pay..
Sachin=GOD Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 2 great saves from Neuer is a space of 2 seconds...
Sachin=GOD Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 4 chances missed in 5 minutes:hysterical: More like Neuer saved 4 chances in 5 minutes :hatsoff:
King Tendulkar Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 You don't have to be a good keeper to keep paulinhios shots out
vvvslaxman Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Neur did a good job. But those were weak shots straight at him. No deviation.
