Temujin Khaghan Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 which pair will score more runs together in the England series (not necessarily as a partnership)? --- also if you have to arrange individual players by run aggregates, what will it be like? for me: Pujara>Rahane>Kohli>Dhawan>Rohit>Murali
Gollum Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Vijay will do very well especially if he leaves the balls like he did in RSA. Dhawan to play 1 blinder and a number of 20s and 30s. Rahane has it in him to be among our top 2 run scorers. Rohit Sharma will do jack.
TheTruth Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 The openers are bound to be out cheaply. Dhawan's the most reckless player there so I'd argue he would be the lowest scorer. Vijay isn't good but at least he tries to survive. I think Kohli will be the highest scorer. Rahane, Pujara will also do well. After that it's hard to say but I don't think Dhoni is quite as useless as some of you think, he might get a few 50s. Let's see.
Gollum Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 @TheTruth But Dhawan showed that he has it in him in NZ, much improved display than in RSA.
CG Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I see dhawan, vijay struggling against short ball this series .the bouncer is really tough to play in england with spongy bounce even the best get bloody.
Pagalpanti Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Dhawan will have 1 or 2 good scores with a poor series over-all. Vijay will do a good job of playing out the new ball but wont score anything substantial. Rohit will keep getting surprised as to how the ball finds his stumps Rahane is the one I have pinned my hopes on after Pujara and Kohli...
Midfielder Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 If Vijay manages to stay till lunch he has done his job. I dont care about runs. Wear them down, that is the key.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Here's how i see it. We need to get 20 wickets in good time. If india have to chase 400 4th innings, then we can easily fall short again. Had we conceded 40 odd less in nz 1st test, we'd have won the series. We are conceding too many runs. When wickets arent coming, guys like ishant leak and its costing us. Other than that, we can chase good scores.
adi B Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 kohli, pujara who?mooli's aggregate for the series will be 500+ :dontmentionit:
jusarrived Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Rahane may top score . Followed by Virat and Pujara in that order
carnish Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Highest Scorere in Series Pujara > Binny(If he Plays) > Kohli > Vijay > Rahane > Dhawan > Dhoni > BK > Sir Jadeja > Rohit
GautiMaan Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Binny scoring more than kohli, are we talking about runs or waffles here
carnish Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Binny scoring more than kohli' date='are we talking about runs or waffles here[/quote'] Runs ... Its more with confidence. Binny knows he won't be backed too long. Kohli has no such problems. Both will score big though. I hope Biny plays all the games instead of the loser Rohit.
