Bumrah just bowls a a bouncer which flies through to the keeper head high.

 

I having wanting a bouncer barrage strategy for quite some time now ... with adequate field settings.

 

On these slow surfaces, some balls will fly through and some balls won't.

 

And this can get a wicket.

I am with Kohli on this one.  Giving short sharp bursts to Bumrah is the wise way.  This inns anyways is lost cause.  England bat deep.  Stop runs & wait for declaration.

Agree but Bumrah has already bowled 27 overs in the heat.  His workload needs to be managed as well.  Can't bowl him to the ground. 

Someone on Twitter said Shami will be back for last two tests.  We need to rotate Bumrah I think.

Pace and height do matter. They matter quite a lot. But on this pitch, it wont matter. Even if the speed gun clocks 150, the ball would lose the zip off the pitch, so it will only come on the bat even better. On this pitch, yes, they need to try to just kiss the bat or york or try for lbw.
