We have to go after Root.

 

We can't get him out.

 

So go for total intimidation with catching fielders in place. 

 

He will succumb. 

 

I remember our 2018 tour. The last test pitch was flat. Bumrah bowled around 25 bouncers to Root and Cook ... and 20 of them were nasty ones.

 

Quite a few catches lobbed up but there was no one to catch them.

 

Root gone means test match is ours.

 

And Wood and Anderson would be in for a hostile treat.

I want us to break them mentally. Not physically. But mentally. When they realize there is nothing they can do to handle the bouncers and the crushers. 

 

Sure would love to see them bleed too but that would be a bonus. Softening them up is enough enough induce catches anyway.

his seam position is brilliant.

 

that was good length for those pitches.Will be interesting how he adjusts
