I just hope they get him back to 150+

To me, it looks like IPL speed guns show higher speeds. Yesterday, Mayank looked very quick but speed guns showed lower than expected. He looked as fast as I have ever seen him bowl.

It was such a pleasure to see mayank and ashok bowling together.

Mayank especially was so impressive, especially with his slower balls.

I so wish umran could have stayed on course ,these three together would have been such a treat.

i only saw the last but one over bowled by Mayank and highlights.

-Mayank could have easily got 4 to 5 wickets...he literally was unplayable

-ashok bowled some jaffa's and some easy leg stump hit me balls so he has to understand how to bowl at the right line and length

- i just saw few balls bowled by Prince but i feel he looked average.

Prince looked a trundler bowling with Ashok and Mayank.

I was correct Mayank is the best we have after BOOM.

it looks Mayank , Ashok and Prince will play the second T20 tommorow too and Yash Thakur wont get a chance.

the spinner will play and dube will play too so Yash wont get an opportunity.

More likely case is .... Speed guns in Zimbabwe are showing lower speeds.

My guess is IPL speed guns show readings on a bit higher side.

Archer was regularly hitting 150-153ks in IPL but didn't bowl too many 150+ balls in England.  He did bowl 148-150ks though.

Same with Overton who clocked 150k in IPL but he was never a 150k guy at max 146-147ks

2-3 ks margin is possible

Thakur should play ahead of Prince in final game

Ashok Mayank should play all three

No,the IPL uses HawkEye’s optical tracking and AI driven systems

These systems track the ball continuously via high speed cameras from multiple angles rather than relying on a single radar point, reducing the margin of error to a tight window (within 0.5 to 1kph)

Even Rabada rarely crosses 147 k in internationals but clocked 154 k in this IPL. Old Bhuvi was clocking upto 140 k.

But, on the other hand, Bumrah and Prasidh are bowling much quicker in international cricket.

Mayank Yadav did clock 150 k to 154 k regularly in SMAT 2024 too when he bowled superfast in the IPL. And SMAT speed guns are not set higher.

So, I wonder whether it is a question of priority of that particular bowler or higher speed readings.  Don't really know the answer.

Adding something more to the technical aspects of accurate readings there,IPL is more about buzz, lots of cameras ,high stakes people tend to play down the competitive ness of IPL,it generates massive hype on social media, making those spells stick more vividly in fans minds

It has more pressure than random bilateral games, besides being expensive crucial purchases for their franchises

Ipl speedometer are v.accurate, the speeds of the bowlers are usually same/similar as those are in intnl games for these bowlers. There can be a glitch here and there but there can not be consistent misreading.

Mayank is bowling same pace has he was bowling in ipl this season 140-149 kmph. Ashok is bowling same pace too. both hit ~150 in ipl as well. That 154 kmph by ashok can be glitch but he was hitting 150 kmph.

Archer was touching 150 kmph in t20i wc too, think the bowled 151 kmph, for Rabada speeds were high in this ipl but Gt is a team where bowlers are bowling v.fast -- Pradish last season was bowling 140-150 kmph, Siraj was touching 145 kmph.

And that showed in the GT's result as well, their bowling was v.good

But recently rabada has been back to his previous pace he was bowling 143+ kmph even at intnl level

Is this for IPL or even India home games? ICC games tend to have slightly higher readings as well.

England Australia NZ seem to show lower end of speed guns I think

in Aus and SA always get higher readings.

Nz is consistently lower can be due to cold and strong winds

Aus,i don't think brother

But again ICC events are high stakes,I used to closely observe speed reading up untill 2019 WC,but even in last WC the ones I closely saw were not off by 4-5ks if at all they were

Only WC which had over the top readings was cwc2003

may  be i am wrong Prince seems to be a bit too lucky. in IPL batsmen give wickets in search for runs,  i m not sure whether he is good enough to play for INDIA.

P'rasidh/siraj/B"oom/mayank/' harshit/gurnoor are proven india mater.

if i was gill i wont play Prince unless he is an All rounder. so'me one in selection commitee i's fond of him.
