Pacers need to push further,160+ is the new benchmark

A potential 160+ pacer should rather go towards Javelin.  Use those fast twitch fibre for bigger glory

Aussie pace attack looking ordinary.

Unable to extract suffucient life out of this helpful pitch.

Age catching up ?

The last BGT series was ours for the taking  but we managed to spoil it.

Our team was in a bigger transition phase than theirs in BGT 2024-25.

.. Old batters, on their last legs, hanging on.

.. No new pacers developed after Ishant, Umesh left. We wasted time on Unadkat, Mukesh in earlier series.

Most of the hits I have seen are either off edges or using his pace.

Mayank is trying to bowl quickly.

somehow I feel..he isnt putting his all..I dont mind it..if he can crank up 150+ for Indian team..but bowling sub 150 could keep him sub 150 in future

The kid has struggled with injuries all his life, even before IPL debut. Missed 2 years after IPL 2024.

Can't really blame him.

I want him to play actual games and not get injured. And look visually quick and bouncy.

He is a good bowler and everything will fall into place if he stays fit.

Poor batting from middle order and also lack of a good 3rd seamer.Senior batsmen hardly contributed apart from 1 century in Perth

Even 2nd seamer. Siraj was a freeloader throughout the series.

3rd seamer bowled well in patches

Harshit bowled well in first game...struggled in second and out.

Akashdeep bowler poorly in 3rd & 4th

Prasidh bowled well in 5th...but by then Bumrah was knocked out.

Akashdeep bowled well at gabba but was unlucky. Should have picked prasidh at mcg itself

Harshit was not used to bowling with the pink ball and hence struggled in the 2nd test. He did well in the 1st test.

I was really surprised that he was removed totally from the scheme of things in tests from thereon by GG despite being called a GG fav.

Probably a person opposed to Harshit would have given him more chances in tests than GG.  :phehe:

I too thought Akashdeep bowled well.

But later in some video with Fleming they described the Akashdeep's problem was his height and bounce.

His good length deliveries were at the driving length, back of length ones were missing the edge entirely. Hence he looked good to the eye but in reality he was just not making enough chances.

With Prasidh, he had that asterix of failure in SA added...hence he too wasnt favoured by anyone. Despite knowing well that usually bowlers who get bounce do good in Australia.

GG chickened out.

I think he got worried about the backlash or favouritism. I remember there were some social media "fans" who were calling out why Akashdeep deserved more than Harshit to play in Australia.

As usual, those fans went underground when Akashdeep too failed. And they tried Prasidh in last game who picked up 6 wkts.

They were similar vs Pak in test before Ind toured , but for Ind tour they picked the pace and everything.

Pak batters had good outing and then after a session the Aus bowler will tighten the things up fr pak batters.

Yes age and injuries is catching up can not be 100% every single game

Mayank has played 3 out of 5 games looks like there a plan behind it, trying to build-up the workload slowly.

Such club games or local leagues are v.impt fr recovering high pace bowlers where they can take time, bowl when they are feeling good and not bowl and rest in between.

Not sure if he be proper 150+ kmph bowler , but he needs to try. Also add few skills else he is same as pradish who when bowls sub 145 kmph is treated like a club level bower.
