There was an interesting graphic that was shown comparing the ball trajectory and time of Nortje vs Ngidi towards the batsman. Such a stark difference. By the time the ball reached the batsman of Nortje, Ngidis delivery was still a couple of meters away.

Cummins was bowling at decent speeds this match, 138-143k. Rabada seems to be half the bowler he was a couple of years back. What happened to him? Doesn’t look the same after that amazing IPL season and the stress fracture / back injury he suffered just before the 2019 World Cup I think. Biggest difference is the speeds at which he operates these days.

U know what’s ironic? The commentary box had guys like Gilchrist and Hussey who were absolute best players of pace bowling. And those guys were continually discussing the impact of pace and how that makes batting tougher during Nortjes spell. And here we have in our country, a bunch of nobodys being hyper critical of young quicks.

Joffra isn't touching 150 ever again. He bowled 128-135 in India last time. He isn't a test class player anymore.

I highly doubt that. He’s making a comeback in the ODI series. Might probably take some time to get in rhythm. Come Ashes, I’d be really surprised him not getting back to 150s when there’s a guy like wood to push him at the other end. But yeah he does have the tendency to bowl selectively in his spells at high intensity.

Nha u dont see it. Heisn't built for tests. Besides ollie is a much better bowler in tests. 

Btw they also have stone.

Malhotra, who could not do anything in tests, keeps advocating medium paced line and length stuff. And pretends that 150 k stuff means nothing. 

 

And he is selecting our selectors now. And the selectors picked are similar in mindset. 

 

While Kohli, Smith, Tendulkar, Hayden and Lara keep discussing the difficulties of facing 150 k+ balls.

don't think jofra will hit 150+ right away since he's coming back from injury. wood can do it, but his pace does drop later on - his action, however, is skiddy and hard to handle even at 145
