You can predict what the tm will do. This was a game where Unadkut would have been a better choice. 

Shami and Umesh have either been average or plain sucked in England.

There's no plan b. Saw this in saf and the one off test on england too. It's just constantly attacking the stumps and looking for outside edges. Won't work always.

Since Bharat Arun has left, our bowling plan has gone to the dogs.

 

And we are so reluctant to pick even one tall bounce bowler, to utilize bounce when the ball is not moving.

keep picking oldies or bowlers who dont do well in those conditons in the name of experience. Shami is not suited to English conditions, had below average last tour as well. Umesh anyway gives no confidence overseas.

now as they started bowling short, they wont mix the lengths, will just keep bowling short and become predictable.

Umesh missed most of the IPL due to a hamstring strain. What was the need to select him?

 

The other bowlers are Unadkat and Mukesh Kumar.

and Shardul who should not be playing test cricket with that poor fitness.

India need fresh legs, Shardul, Umesh, Shami are in early to mid 30's...our spinners are in mid 30's.

Even the replacements in the name of Unadkut and Mukesh Kumar are just thakela bowlers.

 

We are so reluctant to try young players, even after falling flat multiple times in the crucial games.

Langer pointed out the lack of natural bounce in Indian pacers, due to bend in their knee when releasing the ball, that's where Bumrah offers variety.

No succession planning throught the team. It will only happen once there are a slew of retirements and we are fielding a brand new side from back to front because we have no choice. If anyone gets his debut it is through sheer happenstance like Siraj did despite knocking on the door for sometime.

Picking past-it oldies, in the name of experience, is the biggest disease of this TM and even some earlier ones too.
