Umesh Yadav bowled 10 years of his career in 140's, only from last 1-2 years he has slowed down due to his age, Bumrah and Shami bowls quick right throughout the day....Nagarkoti was hitting 149 at age of 18 where Shaheen was trundling at 130's..likes of Naseem, Aamir and Shaheen trundle in Tests from late 120's to mid 130's because their aren't fit and run out of breath while bowling more than 4 overs in spell. Umesh still cranks upto 146-147 when he wants to , although in his good days

Naseem is certainly not a 150 k bowler,his peak too these days is 146-148

But where are those better fast bowlers in the last 10 years or even more  ??

 

As I posted above, in the last 5.5 years India has 4 pacers, Ishsnt himself, Bumrah, Umesh snd Shami, averaging 21, 22, 24 and 25 in tests. Pakistan has only 2   and both averaging 25. And that too their performances are poor against big teams.

 

It is like asking, " Why does it rain so much in Dubai ? "

Ishant Sharma isn't wrong, Pakistani selectors always encouraged fast bowling, even the superstars of Pak Cricket are all bowlers. 

 

In comparison, India don't treat their bowlers with same support. You guys handover debut to Shaheen and Naseem in their young age. Our selectors ridicule Kartik Tyagi and Umran in every occurance because they go for runs on odd games. 

 

Unless someone becomes a martyr and fight against the system it isn't gonna change. India has an big pool of fast bowlers who bowl quick, but neither the players, not system not the pitches support and encourage them.

Pakistan has likes of asif,amir,shoaib,abbas ,hassan ali ,shaheen,shabbir who have low avg,

 

 

 

and ishant and umesh avg over 30 in tests, so it's a very selective average that you are highlighting.

Not odd...I think @express bowlingshared a list of bowlers who all can clock 140+ consistently or atleast 70% of the time. If I remember correctly there were 29 of them. 

 

Every year in IPL we unearth a some new 140k pacer...then comes the domestic tournaments and none of them get a chance to play there. Sure, some had injury concerns but alot of them stay on fringes because they don't have "connections".

In state selections, there are some coaching centers which get preferential treatment, hence their academy bowlers gets preference over the ones the ones who are from less known academy.

 

@rkt.india Bhai also mentioned how a Vidyadhar Patil was preferred over Purnank Tyagi because he was from a "renowned" academy. Go once and check the insta of Purnank where he has added some videos of his bowling in U-23 matches...he has a zippy athletic action and bowl some big inswingers. But no cricket expert in the country talks about him.

Don't know about NE Zone bowlers though.

Zak told Indians can't bowl quick, did Umesh not proved him wrong by bowling quick for 10 years ?

Ishant Sharma is a cricketer but that doesn't mean he is 100% right...else we wouldn't have played likes of Bhuvi for so long over Shami.
