and ishant and umesh avg over 30 in tests, so it's a very selective average that you are highlighting.

 

I clearly stated last 5.5 years .... that is the recent past which is what is relevant now. 

 

If I gloat over Dhoni's LOI teams from 2007 to 2013, with 3 trophies, does it have much relevance now ? 

 

P.S .. Shoaib retired 15 years ago, Asif 13 years ago. Pakistan had good test pacers then. Not now.

 

Amir averages 30.5.   

 

Shaheen and Hassan are the relevant ones and I mentioned them, along with the fact that Shaheen has been poor against SENA teams in tests.

1.  Kuldeep Sen .... had an amazing List A season

2.  Kartik Tyagi .... decent List A season 

3.  Simarjeet Singh

4.  Umran Malik ... but he is with the ODI squad

Baffling to say the least. Guys like Arjun Tendulkar and many trundlers have made the squads. But these 2 talented quick bowlers who have played odi's are sitting on their asses instead of getting some valuable match practice.

He is fit as far as I know.

The selectors did the same by leaving out Sen and Umran from Duleep Trophy. I still can't believe it. 

 

There is some planned attempt to leave out any kind of pacers who can bowl with fire.

NZ team looks best for fast bowling

Harshit, Mayank and Yudhvir....even Vaibhav is a decent option. Sandeep Sharma is the only trundler.

 

CZ has selected worse bowlers despite such a strong pool...Tyagi, Sen and Mohsin together would have been a treat. What was the point of selecting Aniket C 

 

SZ is full of Trundlers, WZ of ultra Trundlers.

Why would you arbitrarily select 5.5 years? is it because the numbers are fitting in nicely,

 

 

In any case Ishant hasn't played in a long time ,Bumrah too is missing for nearly a year.so it's basically umesh and shami .
