Coetzee is a warrior man...  What fight & effort from him.  Serious pace from short balls today.  Superhuman effort. 

Surely he will play Tests vs India this December.

Siraj has to pull his socks. Out of all 5 bowlers he looked least effective. He was Ind's top white ball bowler before WC.

 

Also looked like Ind pacer got carried away in first few overs thinking of closing the match in 1st PP.

Its ingrained in the Australian culture and permeates through all walks of life.

This never say die attitude and to rise to the occasion.

 

The embryonic beginnings of this IMO was from sport, in particular the Rugby and AFL codes in Australia. The finals format is such, where Australians are mentally prepared to perform well enough in the tournament stage, then rise to another level come finals time.

 

Australia is the worst time I wanted India to face.

 

In fact I would rather India played a combined XI of the rest of the world than Australia.

In the final aus will attack early.

 

In all the wc finals, 99,2003,2007,2015 they started well and overwhelmed the opposition .Even in the sf vs sa they took out sa top order and pace bowlers .

 

I hope our opening batsmen and bowlers are ready ,and arent too nervous.

  I think its lack of control /experience in bowling slower stuff pitched up. He bowls slower bouncers well  but have not seen length /full pitched slower ones. He bowls wide yorkers at pace well but if he is asked to bowl same line & length but slower , do not think he has mastered that yet. 

Even in IPL his slower length /full balls always travelled to fence . Same issue with Prasidh. Tries slower length balls which are really poor.

hmm..he need to focus on these aleas of improvement..Prasidh slower balls..are very poor true..so easily you can identify..

I always used to like Dilhara Fernando style split finger slower bowls..as there is no change is wrists..and fingers are split behind the bowl..so you wont notice..additionally it gives better control too..

Yeah, wrist action has to be similar.Same reason why shami's off cutters are easier to pick than bumrah's.

This Australian team is not a formidable side they’ve had until 2015 or so. Get Marsh and Warner early. Rohit needs to bat for 10 overs. And the game is done n dusted right there.
