Mukesh Arshdeep Avesh Chahar for SA ODIs?

 

How do you guys still get excited about fast bowling talent in this country? What use is it?

This is probably the worst selection committee we've ever had. Nothing comes close.

Deepak     27  ( but ODI average of 31 )

 

The others, apart ftom Deepak, have played too few ODIs to consider averages. 

 

Plus no pace and bounce in the attack at all, that too for a series in SA.

 

Why not pick Mayank Yadav and Kuldeep Sen in place of Avesh and Arshdeep. They would still have 2 medium pacers to " feel.safe ".

 

P.S .. I am assuming that Prasidh and Harshit can't be in the squad as they are playing for India A.

Assuming they are trying to give thse t20 wc hopefulls more chances.

 

T20 is entirely different game, Ind cricketing circles needs to understand this, None of Ind bowlers can bat.

Ind is hopping to win wc with 5/6 batters and 5 bowlers (who can not bat a bit)-this is not going to happen especially when the batters are not t20 style batters.

 

Any batter in the world would love to play anchor role if asked- play low risk cricket till your personal milestone then play couple of shots. On good day u get team to just par score and mostly  end up with sub par scores.

Is he net bowler for any ipl team? now seems like that is the only way to get into state teams.

Hope Kartik Tyagi is picked by KKR as GG usually has better sense of supporting young quicks. Mayank is in LSG so hopefully he will play as well given Avesh is out of LSG.

Per Mayank's invw..he was certain to play last season but got injured(slipped and injured leg) during their team practice match just before the IPL..and was out for 8 weeks due to it..unfortunate
