Many here don't.

Every tom dick and harry bowling couple of 40 kphs on their social media are hyped as net gen pacer ignored by the selectors lol. It is a recurring theme here. Umran Malik is another one. Abslty cant bowl 3 balls at a spot and people want him to be playing Intnl games as if it is a joke.

 

I am not doubting Prasidh after t20i series. I can see with certainty he is not built for any format in intl arena. I will be here. You can come back to me like you never did after my take on Navdeen Saini and how he will never play 10 tests turned out true.

Umran Malik was wanted in LOIs  after IPL.2022, when he was sufficiently accurate for an express pacer and picked 22 or 23 wickets.

 

After that, he has regressed. It could be due to his own lack of motivation or the way he was handled or a combination of both.

 

Not many wanted him to play tests before sufficient FC experience. 

 

And current day Umran is not being picked by many for crucial LOIs. 

 

Trying to develop him is another matter

Saini did not get any chances after that Gabba test when he got injured.

 

I am not interested in predictions as I am not a fortune teller.

 

But first considering someone a good pick and then not giving chances to him later and then considering him a failure, is about as non-objective an approach by TMs as possible.

 

It is this non-objective approach which has hurt us as a cricket team for decades.

This is why we need a better bowling coach. 

 

But even now our 2nd innings is left snd SA has to bat last. So we should keep fighting very hard and try to dismiss them within 300.

Prasidh was much better post tea when he found the right length. He has ingredients to be a Ishant like work horse. Needs to be seen if he has the fitness.

I could be wrong but he seems to be like Umesh in that he needs a lot of guidance and talking to so he knows what to do.

Need to overhaul entire TM, captain and selectors.  VVS is not a good choice either.
