Agree.

And loving it.

It's a different challenge for batters when tall pacers bowl quickly with skills. The high release points with pace is a nightmare.

Ours ex players don't love that

Should Shami be classified as right  arm fast or is he actually fast medium?

Shami, from 2015 to 2023, has always been 135 k to 146 k. And with that wonderful seam position and skid / zip off the deck, the batters were always hurried.

Plus he had a nasty bumper and rising short ball till 2023.

My guess is Prasidh after seeing Gurnoor bowling proper HTD bowling it must have lit a fire under him.

Bowling with purpose and intensity after ages.

That's what happens why you bring high potential quicks into the set up.

I was thinking of exactly this earlier.

Gurnoor raising the bar will hopefully motivate both Harshit and Prasidh to bowl skillfully at good pace.

Actually, it will create nervousness in the minds of bowlers like Siraj who would know they'd need to up their game or lose their place

I like Prince yadav. He looks hardworking, has just about the right pace. Yet, I feel he is 5=6k's slower than what is needed in today's cricket.

Looks to be T20 bowler as of now.

So the pace pool for 2027 looks like -Boom, Gurnoor, Siraj, Harshit , Arshdeep and chance for 1 more  AN express factor  -Ashok ?

Bring in Ashok Sharma and we may see some older pacers stepping up their game even more.

Now we need a left armer bowling around 145ish. Arshdeep doesnt cut it for me. Ashok, Gurnoor with Bumrah, and one left armer will be deadly

Gurnoor's  2nd spell today is the only poor spell I have seen from him in ODIs and FCC so far.

He is usually a very objective pacer but went through the motions in these 2 overs.

Perhaps the effect of very little gap between his 2 spells in this searing heat and humidity.
