What a difference over Nadeem Axar has been. He knows his job and is doing it. I like these spinners who keep chipping away while being miserly. Nadeem just wasnt consistent.

What is Rats problem with Kuldeep? Why are Siraj and Kuldeep not bowling? What is the need of giving such long spell to Axar? Bizarre. Its very difficult for Virat to hide is animosity and stupidity on field. One can imagine how he is in the dressing room.

Kuldeep was made to bat after Ishant too.

 

Some may say that it was done to create a left-right combo but would it not have made more sense to bat Pant at 5 then ?

Working up a good line, Md Siraj. And decent pace too. Last ball at 134. Angled the bowl outside off. Will try to bring the ball in for the left hander now and try to get the edge.

Siraj extracting good bounce off the pitch. That is going to be the major differentiator. If he can reverse swing the ball with that kind of bounce off the pitch, will be very difficult for English batsmen to handle him.

Kuldeep was made to sit out for 2 years after taking a fifer in tests.

 

Always in the squad and so could not play much FC either.

 

He will need a bit of time to get his confidence back.
