Sachithra Senanayake banned from bowling by ICC - found to exceed 43 degrees

I don't think it is just about Murali or Ajmal, it is about Bhajji and Ohja too.I don't think they were tested thoroughly in match situations and this 15 degrees is a joke. These guys who have suspect actions need to be tested real time in matches for 4 or five matches and their bills have to be sent to their respective boards if either of them are unwilling to do it , the player gets banned it should be as simple as that, no chucking allowed by any player. We don't want players cheating the system to gain advantage and spoil the game by this ugly chucking.

I just don't get this crazy obsession of trying to get rid of these remarkably talented bowlers just because they straighten their arms a wee bit.What harm are they doing ?These guys make this ridiculously batsmen favoured game watchable with their wonderful variations. How is it a crime? The art of spin bowling is dying all over the world with stupid rules like using 2 new balls & having just 4 fielders outside 30 yards.Exceptional talents like Ajmal, Sena, Bhajji etc. should be admired for keeping the role of spinners relevant in this new age, not crucified...

Look at all those shots a batsman is allowed to play. Switch-hit? That shouldn't even be allowed in the game. Imagine a field set for a right handed batsman, he switches his stance and completely refashions the entire field setup. But if this guy and Bhajji are accused, Ajmal shouldn't get any benefit from this either. Overall, it's totally unfair to the bowlers if the batsmen are allowed to juggle around with their stance.

You can't as they superimpose your action during the test with that of the actual match and call it out if they don't match up

Then ban those shots as well.Two wrongs dont make a right.I only have problem with switch hit btw as for all others field is relevant.And batsmen is reacting to various variations of bowler too. Chucking is totally different.

so you think Murali or Ajmal never exceeded that 15 degrees in matches??? this is just a sample from one match for this guy. if you see those pictures you can clearly see arms are much more straighter in test conditions. Both Ajmal and Murali must have done the same.

Murali even did it in a brace, and still the action looked similar. So he is out of the qustion. Second point though, even bowlers with so called "clean" actions may chuck it when they are trying hard. So lab tests are not going to be 100% fool proof. But it is 100 times better than ridiculous judgements made bu naked eye.

Why only these giuys? Test everyone. McGrath and Pollock had it around 12 degrees, and there will be plenty of "clean" bowlers going over the limit regulary on match situations. Dodgy decisions made by naked eye on dodgyness of the actions should not be a factor to test a player. We ask ICC to to bite the bullet and test everyone during match situations. We could see some prurists running naked around the cities on the day ICC does that.

If you want to have fair contest between bat and ball, increase the boundary size, don't allow bats with bigger edges. Allow 3 bouncers per over. But don't encourage chuckers. It spoils the spirit of the game and you are basically cheating which should never be allowed. Never.

he is not making any effing sense. He just wants chuckers to continue without anyone checking. We are playing cricket not baseball. Bowling is a beautiful art. Don't spoil it by allowing chuckers to continue. They should be banned right away.
