And sadly I don't think they will have Rohit in the side for the 2nd test also. And Ishant picked three wickets so he isn't going anywhere.

FreakazoiD Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Knowing Dhoni, I think he will go with the same XI. Binny is likely to bowl more at Lord's and bat at 7 above Jaddu. Ishant batted reasonably well in the second innings and bowled his heart out in the first, and so is almost certain to play.

Is Saha a better batsman and keeper than MSD in longer format??? Also, Jadeja cannot bat in Tests. Dhawan (one more shot, if fails, 3rd test GG comes in) Vijay Pujara Kohli Rahane Ashwin Dhoni Kumar Shami/Aaron (Shami might need to get fitness sorted) Ishant Pankaj/Aaron (Either would be fantastic) Strong top 8 with kumar able to bat it out and score if needed. Ashwin strengthens both batting and bowling. Hope he attacks and doesnt have defensive fields. Also a slip option. 4 quality proper seamers. Ishant looks like he has his rhythm and seam position upright, can be the initiator and lead to a collapse if he gets going again. Probes well, just needs to maintain that channel and move the ball away more. Bhuvi can do a holding job when needed + take wickets. Pankaj would be great, aaron would be too. 4 proper seamers and a proper spinner = gr8 chance to get 20 wickets.
