rising Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 You people are forgetting most people In North America watch it only some using streams for football and in those countries people also like to see in groups in pubs and Giant screen , have seen amount of people outside stadium watching in Giant screen or in Germany that would take of huge number as nearly like 10,000 people for in couple of screens which could have meant about 1000 televisions And also if you just go check forums , websites of different countries during the world cup you would know that football is watched by more people around the world

I don't think more than 10-15% mumbaikars would have watched it live. This is getting seriously out of hand. I didn't say that 50% of Mumbai/Dehli watched the FIFA WC final. I meant that even if the number is 1/10 - it significantly adds to the overall viewership.

During Cricket world cup, how many in those Latin countries will watch cricket ,but countries like BD,Ind ,Pak ,SL do watch football world cup . India even released stamp for fifa world cup, when our post dept never released one for the world cup winning team (Australia is good in doing that ).Give a thought over this, and you will realize this discussion is fruitless .

Scarves Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Timezone difference and a lack of a team. We had a **** load of people watch it here though even at 2am and 6am but I guess that's down to a market. Australia had a team that lost 3 games but were entertaining and people could watch it before work in the morning. I am not surprised but I'm also like bloody Indian sub-continent

Not really it is believed this things are Hugely Inaccurate from the last thing I know Ratings are based on number of television which are viewing the channel rather than how many people are watching which is made based on assumption
