at 1.30 news in one of the tamil news channel confirmed that MSD to retire from tests after last match against Eng... :dance: Then i searched all the famous english news channels both web and TV, but there is no Flash news || Breaking News abt that, but why on earth some unknown dump news channel confirmed that... i think people are speculating based on his comments that this is the last time he plays in lords thing is that after this we have Aus Series and then World Cup both of which he will play and then he will probably retire from Tests

well india are touring England again in 2018 MSD will be 37 at the time. So yeah this is propbably his last test tour of england

The next England tour is probably 3 or 4 years away. That's possibly what he means by not playing in Lord's again. I think he will likely resign from test captaincy after Australia tour and from ODI captaincy after World Cup. I think he may continue playing for a bit longer.

We would have won the world cup without MSD :winky:. Would have had a few more bumps along the way but Raina and yuvi would have finished the chase led by Gautam Gambhir

IMO he will retire from test cricket after the tour of Australia next year and might retire from all international cricket after the world cup. I don't see him as someone who's too romantic about the sport to carry on playing it for a very long time like Dravid or Tendulkar. Besides he has other interests outside cricket and will probably get involved in some business venture.
