CoverDrive Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 i think people are speculating based on his comments that this is the last time he plays in lords thing is that after this we have Aus Series and then World Cup both of which he will play and then he will probably retire from Tests
G_B_ Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 well india are touring England again in 2018 MSD will be 37 at the time. So yeah this is propbably his last test tour of england
kubrickian Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 The next England tour is probably 3 or 4 years away. That's possibly what he means by not playing in Lord's again. I think he will likely resign from test captaincy after Australia tour and from ODI captaincy after World Cup. I think he may continue playing for a bit longer.
G_B_ Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I think he will hang onto the ODI captaincy. India hardly play international t20 cricket.
Austin 3:!6 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 It will be bad news. Imagine Kohli leading un in Australia series
Laaloo Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 HE will probably retire in the world cup next year when we get knocked out due to his braindead captaincy.
Austin 3:!6 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 HE will probably retire in the world cup next year when we get knocked out due to his braindead captaincy. If it was not for MSD ou wait for a WC would have continued. Be grateful that we had MSD in 2011 and not Rahul Dravid :giggle:
Laaloo Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 If it was not for MSD ou wait for a WC would have continued. Be grateful that we had MSD in 2011 and not Rahul Dravid :giggle: We would have won the world cup without MSD :winky:. Would have had a few more bumps along the way but Raina and yuvi would have finished the chase led by Gautam Gambhir
diga Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 If it was not for MSD ou wait for a WC would have continued. Be grateful that we had MSD in 2011 and not Rahul Dravid :giggle: If it was not for Raina/Tendulkar in the semis, we would not even be in finals
zep1706 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 IMO he will retire from test cricket after the tour of Australia next year and might retire from all international cricket after the world cup. I don't see him as someone who's too romantic about the sport to carry on playing it for a very long time like Dravid or Tendulkar. Besides he has other interests outside cricket and will probably get involved in some business venture.
King Tendulkar Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Please don't give me false hope. Please don't.
CSK Fan Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 It will be bad news. Imagine Kohli leading un in Australia series Why, how bad can Kohli be?
Temujin Khaghan Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Rohit Sharma is the next Captain then. its fixed. he will make bowling changes even while bench warming at the dressing room.
tothepoint Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Why' date=' how bad can Kohli be?[/quote'] Ask his Asia Cup teammates. :giggle: Ohh wait, is there any way we can link that to Dhoni?
Laaloo Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Why' date=' how bad can Kohli be?[/quote'] pretty bad. If dhoni is to be replaced, then it should be pujara not kohli
Sachin=GOD Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 pretty bad. If dhoni is to be replaced' date= then it should be pujara not kohli Agreed.
CSK Fan Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Ask his Asia Cup teammates. :giggle: Ohh wait, is there any way we can link that to Dhoni? Hmm, Dhoni hasn't a great record in Asia cup either
