ThePhenomenal1
selection has cost a potential win meant one less genuine bowler, could have been ashwin or aaron only made 28 and played the dumbest shot was 28 worth it? absolutely sucks, promotes lethargy and the old indian mentality. IT is turning into a potential loss. If they continue this line up we could at best draw the test . Can't win anything. Extra batsman means Extra carelessness creeps in. Dhoni at 7, Jaddu at 8, Bhuvan at 9.. they just play reckless shots like this. Link to comment
vijay50
They should play Binny again, with Dhoni bowling him more. Link to comment
maniac
28 less runs to chase.....u must be kidding if u think binny or Ashwin would have contributed more than that on this pitch Link to comment
tothepoint
28 less runs to chase.....u must be kidding if u think binny or Ashwin would have contributed more than that on this pitch Funny thing is they both would have really contributed more than 28 runs on this pitch Link to comment

Let me guess pure despise for a player Yes,28 runs on this flat is so tough and big achievement, specially when Anderson bowled full two balls to him even Jadeja got 31 as for rating batsman, check what commies said about Binny?they were impressed with his technique and temperament.Same way Ashwin has got praise for his maturity and solidity Whereas for Rohit, all we hear is tailunt and how he looks elegant etc. Link to comment

Also he is a much superior fielder than them. Link to comment

Its not like that.Ashwin in would have allowed us to play 4 pacers.Due to one less bowler,we conceded a huge score and the batsman which was included threw away his wicket. Even if Ashwin had gotten out for lower score,it'd have benefitted us due to playing extra pacer. For a specialist batsman 28 is nothing.Hopefully he does better in 2nd innings Link to comment

Binny found a genuine edge of a batsman who went on to make 100. Rohit got a wicket that he didn't deserve. If you add all those up. Binny > Rohit in every which way. Link to comment

Someone drives more carefully if they aren't wearing a seatbelt but someone who does might drive recklessly knowing the belt will save them. :hatsoff: what i've been saying this whole time. perfect opp to play 4 pacers. bhuvi scored 19 and thats decent, we can rely on him. Get 4 pacers and you wont need 370 to avoid follow on. Link to comment

In the end did binny get a wicket? If he was so threatening surely dhoni would have bowled him a lots more right? Binny has played 1/4 innings and all of a sudden you guys talk like there is an obvious proof he would have outperformed everyone here. Link to comment

Dhoni's decision not to use him is not fault of Binny, it was fault of Dhoni. Unless you see Binny and Rohit together you can't say Rohit played better. ROhit has an awful technique and temperament for a test match player. Link to comment
