There is such derision over Binny's contribution in the two tests he has played,fair enough but what was Rohit's contribution in his 4 tests overseas? If he had shown half the gumption of a Bhuvaneshwar kumar,we would've won a test in NZ

Nothing wrong with a strategy to have longer batting hoping to build a big score except the extra batsman is Rohit. Most people feel that ashwin can do as well with the bat if not better. Chance for Rohit to prove he can do much better

So we tried 5 bowler strategy for 2 Tests(though Dhoni didnt use Binny much) and won one.And yet we go back to a 4 bowler one which has been failing for 3 years.That too for an unreliable guy like Rohit. Doesnt make any sense

We won last test with 4 bowlers, so dhoni going for 4 bowlers, yet people saying 5 bowlers won us last game:hysterical: He is not changing the strategy he is ticking to it, that's 4 bowlers. I repeat we played 4 bowlers last match and WON, binny not used as bowler!!! No change in successful strategy! ps we got to number 1 with 4 bowlers and strategy of piling runs on board

Ashwin playing means 2 spinners If you think England with zero spinners is going to produce spinning track you out of your mind. No one plays 2 spinners in England Track will suit pace, may not be green like lords but will have carry and hit the gloves

Where did this silly myth come from. Put big runs on the board and it creates great chance to set attacking fields and be aggressive and attack. Play Ashwin or Rohit does not matter. At least, you can rely on Ashwin to bat sensibly. Rohit does not give you that confidence that he can fight it out at difficult times. Dhoni might have lacked technique but even he showed that he wanted to be there and fight, stay there with top order batsman and not throw his bat on every ball. You cannot say same about Rohit. GG will be far better bet at 6 if you want an extra batsman who also has experience of playing the new ball.

Yes Binny did not do anything but by end of day 4 bhuvi was done and so tired that he was bowling crap and thank god ishant got wickets quickly because even he was done and by end of that spell was 100 percent exhausted . In short we got got lucky on flatter track these guys would have given game away like always and even freaking England has 4 quicks and still bowlers are tired do you think they can bowl 40 overs per inning and still last ?

Rohit right now does not inspire confidence overseas. Yes, he is not the first batsman struggling overseas but then why play him if he is struggling. Play someone else who has done decently before overseas. GG is the better option or if want a bowling option then play Ashwin, pretty good with the bat. Well Jadeja is stock bowler, lots of overs take up one end. That's 4 bowlers. Hopefully jadeja will bowl better and take wickets as well, then 4 bowlers really will be enough. Frankly real question is ashwin or jadeja. Play ashwin it would mean only some of jadejas overs being eaten up, as we need seamers bowling most of overs as seamers conditions it will be. BK needs to work on fitness then, mans game tests. But its a team effort, BK flagged then Ishant stepped up I rate Ashwin as bat, defo decent but for me 6 is too much. BK at 9 saved us in 2 tests. Are we really banking on this happening regularly?
