You are confusing with fitness and injury prone. Being fit doesnt mean they cant e injury prone lol. Bowling is an unnatural action. Even the fittest sports person if he starts owling he will pick up injuries. Brett Lee a supreme athlete had several injuries. SHane Bond was another one. The possibility increases big time when a captain uses them without adequate breaks which is what Hhoni did Gayboy :cantstop:
Yes, you can attribute to fitness if they have hamstring, spasms, etc., but bone injuries have nothing to do with fitness but bowling and bowling actions.

It was so important to fly Ojha in, but they couldn't put Yadav on the same plane, considering these injuries to Ishant and Bhuvi. Seriously, what were they thinking? surely these inputs are provided by the captain/management?

Some morons were defending dhobi when most were angry when he let bhuvi bowl 12 over spells. Fast bowler even of bhuvi's pace cannot survive that kind of abuse, either side of the lunch how many overs did ishant bowl, he was not on the field when match ended. Dhobi is the root cause he has no idea on how to rotate bowlers.

"In the first couple of games we played with that extra bowler' date=' who was part of the side. But we never really used him to that extent, giving him only eight to 10 overs. That's the reason we thought of making our batting stronger by getting Rohit in"
Bloody hell? Who is 'we'? YOU moron did that!!! I think we need a username by one of ICF-ers to be Moron Singh Dhobi indeed.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar said as much after the second day's play. "We were tired as I said and it was an easy wicket for the batsmen. So it was hard work. So the captain wanted us to bowl one-over spells and personally I found that easy. That way we didn't really get tired and we also found our rhythm".
Bhuvneshwar has already bowled 125 overs in this series, the most by an Indian pacer. He averages 25 overs an innings. His career average is 14 overs per innings. Before coming into the series, the most he had bowled was 17 overs in an innings and 21 overs in a match. He has already bowled more than 30 overs in three innings in this series and his highest match total has been 47 overs - at Lord's and Southampton. The body is not used to it. It's difficult to adjust and cope with this sudden increase in workload and that was clear in Bhuvneshwar's performance in the third Test.

So until bowlers beg the captain he would be bowling them forever :hysterical: . Seriously DHoni should get a psychiatric evaluation
paithyathukku (msd) vaithyam paakira doctor-ke paithiyam pidichidum! (translated: the doctor who evaluates the lunatic, will himself become a lunatic)

Ishant was also given very long spell that bowling all those short pitch bowling it takes out so much from a fast bowler. No wonder he is riding the pine .dhobi's motto is use the best bowler of the day till he drops dead then look out for next victim. As a captain he never gets the big picture .

There were posters saying' date=' he is the one bowling best, who else could he use? Yeah, if you think of one test over a series, this is what happens. This is nothing, a bowler could have a career ending injury and be lost for ever. This is were captain's brains and responsibility kicks in[/quote'] He should bowl them in 5 over spells, not more than that because he only has 3 pacers. You dont want them to get tired in one spell and then no steam through out the match. He can rotate them better, mixing Jaddu in if he is bowling him to contain only.

Dhobi's abuse of these bowlers reminds me of Joe Torre and his abuse of relief pitchers. Torre became HOF manager but he destroyed so many young pitchers and ruined their careers by over using and abusing their arms till they became useless, their only crime was they were good when they came to Yankees. Yankees in order to protect these young guys from getting abused by Torre put rules stopping him from abusing young pitchers and their arms. Proper gap between spells along with short spells are so important in keeping the bowlers fresh and effective. Under dhobi they dont stand a chance as it is after taking all precautions chances are some bowlers lose their effectiveness due to various other reasons. Bhuvi also might be done for the series as far effectiveness goes. Unlike england's bowlers Indian bowlers have never played this long series.

This is the first ever 5-match Test series that any of the current Indian players are involved in, and the effects of such a long series are starting to show on the players. Ishant Sharma wasn’t fit for the 3rd Test match in Southampton due to an ankle injury and is now set to miss out on the 4th Test as well owing to the same injury while there are growing concerns surrounding Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who has a swollen ankle and is a doubt for the 4th Test match at Old Trafford, Manchester. Captain MS Dhoni has admitted that the intense workload is starting to have an adverse effect on the 23-year-old’s bowling. "I think, Bhuvi seemed to be a bit tired," Dhoni said. "But he came back nicely after that first spell. But I thought he was slightly on the shorter side. He got the right length in the first two Tests, but here he was slightly short. Apart from that I am quite happy with the effort put in by fast bowlers. It was a different kind of wicket, where you have to hit the deck hard to get some purchase. That's where I found Pankaj very impressive. He is a tall guy and got a fair amount of bounce and was unlucky not to get a few wickets. Overall I am happy with him." Bhuvneshwar, who is the leading wicket-taker for India in this series with 15 scalps, has had to bowl a lot of overs until now. If the Uttar Pradesh pacer is ruled out of the fourth Test, he will be a big miss for Dhoni’s men as his contributions with both bat and ball have been crucial to the balance of the team.
