Looks like a transition move to include guys like Bangar and co. They want to see how they do. Bangar could very well be the next coach. Though including the possible future coach with the current one is a strange move. Ravi Shastri seems to be there so there aren't any unwanted conflicts.

I'm currently happy to see the backs of Dawes & Penny. Those rats were smoked of their holes and ditched... Bangar will definitely work hard. Sashtri has nuisance value and make life bit hard for Fletcher & Dhoni. But if he messes around why only me, many will give Ma-Behen Galis...

Yes, players might be a little more conscious about practice etc stuff. But in larger scheme of things it looks like a pure drama, as 1. I don't see Dhoni-Srini losing any power in this move. Ultimate power remains with them. Dhoni can pick who he wants, drop who he wants. Shastri won't go against him. 2. With deflecting media attention on this drama, Dhoni has walked away scot-free after one more embarrassing series defeat.
