1st odi is at bristol which is a batting paradise.my team nohit dhawan kohli rayudu dhoni raina jadeja booby mohit/binny shami umesh cant go with 2 spinners .play 5 bowlers and 1st try to finish their full quota of 10 overs rather than bringing part timers early in the innings because dhoni has a habit of allowing the game to drift away.

I can see why you think that after the last time India played there, but that match was probably the exception rather than the rule. Usually the seamers have a lot of success there. Maybe it will be more like it was for the 2007 match this time if England listen Mr Vaughan and produce flat pitches And Mr Cook also has a habit of letting games drift in the middle overs, so pretty much even Stevens there

Unlikely batting order, but my preferred one. Samson Rahane Kohli Rohit (would have preferred Jadhav here...unfortunately not in squad) Dhoni Raina Jadeja Binny Mohit Shami Umesh Yes, Dhoni at 5 and Raina at 6.... Rest Bhuvi for a match (Unlikely though for Dhoni to treat him that way)

I am really worried about Bhuvi. It is important for him to get intensity back. if he keep bowling @125 km/h in odis then he will get smashed. It is important to get his pace upto @ 135ks , which he was clocking regularly in the IPL

Purely based on his positive commentary on Samson's batting in IPL... Get the feeling, he will back Samson and get him a debut.... With only Dhoni and Fletcher at the helm, Samson would surely warm the bench for the whole tournament (like Rahane did for a long time, and Pandey now)...

It is important to see if shami has got his rhythm and pace back or not. He is our chief wicket-taker in odis these days. If we observe his last 18 odis, starting from the Ranchi odi against Aus, where he continues to became regular in the team, he got 40 wkts @ 25.27. some Agarkaresque stats :hatsoff:
