Brendon McCullum, faux du plessis, bravo do they really care about home made biriyani lol they probably wanted a nice hotel to stay.

Where is your large heart? This is why I don't like Indian companies and their customer service. They ****in think they work in army or something. Rules are rules, my ass..make an exception, you ain't gonna lose your pride for allowing them home cooked meal.

Seriously, I had my doubts about Dhoni as a leader previously, but this tactical masterstroke enabling a switch from hotel to homemade biriyani has to be up there with the bodyline series tactics for its sheer guile.

Is it a massive loss of hotel if they make minor adjustment of allowing player to have home cooked food? There is something called as VVIP's and there are always exceptions made for them. Are you telling me that 5 star hotel in Hyderabad never broke any rules? Give me a break. The reason why SRK stopped playing with his kids in Wankhede post a cricket match, the reason why MS Dhoni not allowed to consume outside food is just for publicity. People want to act strict against celebrities just to show off that they are some FCA/SEC regulators and always adheres to the rules. Do a little bit of deep dive, there lies a corruption beneath.

Why expect the hotel management to change why not pompous ass Dhoni? Being a celebrity you expect to behave with certain dignity . People share pictures of actors standing in line for voting . Why? Because they like celebrities who act like common people.This hero worshipping mentality has to stop.

moniker Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Not sure why people have to take sides. 1) The hotel could've made an exception, not because he's Dhoni or a VIP, but because it wasn't really smart from their end from a financial point of view to get into a row and ward off such high profile clients. 2) Dhoni acted irresponsibly and put the security at hardship. Looking at all the security arrangements made, it was quite immature from Dhoni to send the security guys scurrying around to redo those arrangements at another hotel just to satisfy his ego.
