Cricketics Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 So Modi Sir is coming to USA. Some guju guys who I play cricket with and some other folks are going to be attending the event at Madison Square Garden on 28th. It was free entry but they had to do a lucky draw and first some number of people got picked. So much interest among desis here. Never seen this much interest in the past. Modi seems to be the most popular Indian right now. More than any sports star or any other Bolly actor.
EnterTheVoid Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 After 60 years of mediocrity, he is someone who gets things done. No bull **** or false promises, just progress.
Marco Polo Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 American media giving any importance to his visit?

Jersey #10 Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Modi Addressed an 80% empty assembly! The Indian media made such a big ordeal preceding this speech. On the other hand, when Obama addressed the assembly every seat was occupied and people were flocked against the walls. Difference between a wannabe versus a true world leader.

What you doing at the assembly? Shouldn't you be at church?
Jersey #10 Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 It's true guys! Call me ignorant or hypocrite but it seemed like no one cared for Modi's speech at the UNGA. You can look for any excuse you want! Obama could have addressed the UN at 2am and the assembly would have been just as packed.
