Tendulkar autobiography

That was the pits!!!...seriously.....letting your girl friend not only deal with her parents but also his own. Not having the spine to talk to his own parents is just so sad. The son of the house cannot deal with his own parents ...but expects a stranger to have the guts to deal with his parents. What a fattu!!!
Whoa hold there. 5 years of courtship, and sachin's family knew her as well. How's it exactly "fattu"? I find it a refreshing change from stereotypes associated with manliness and womanliness. Got to admire Anjali's guts here and that's something Sachin acknowledges in the book as well. Other than that there is nothing really.

That is the most ridiculous piece of argument I have heard. So' date=' he earns lots of money, naturally ends up paying more tax. Does that mean we should exempt him any additional duty that is due??? Wow, great argument![/quote'] No sir, the point is he is already paying such a huge sum of tax, and has continued to be at the top for so many years. Why should someone like him be evading any tax? He need not pay tax for the gift that he got, provided his company footed it. And the company did. End of story. There is nothing in the book that states Sachin was against Chappell at the time of his appointment. Sachin himself made comeback to Chappell's team only sometime near end of 2005 iirc. And by all accounts Chappell met with Sachin in early 2006. But this incident ostensibly made him suspicious about Chappell Now what was Chappell's grand plans to "control" Indian cricket with Sachin? I honestly don't know because I am not privy to what goes inside that rotten mind. But one thing is for sure, he gauged Sachin was the most powerful player among the group. So naturally having him in the bag implies most of the opposition voices are nulled. Saying a lie thousand times is not going to make it a truth. He did not dodge any duties wilfully. He was ready to give up his car if the duty issue persisted. But ferrari stepped in and paid the same for him. Win-win for him and India. Simple. You're conveniently forgetting the final resolution in what is a minor issue and judging his whole career with that. What a joke.

He is coming across as a bitter whingy annoying person' date=' not like one of the legends of the game.[/quote'] How many capable authors out there? And Boria was asked to do the writing. :(( The prose, the editing mistakes, the structuring, jeez its a mess. Somewhere in the beginning where Tendulkar's childhood is talked about, suddenly Achrekar's coaching makes an appearance for a para, then back to childhood anectodes. And then suddenly a whole section that talks about him.

LOL! Again the same argument. :cantstop: Saar, please keep your kaala chashma on and believe what you want to.

Poor attempt.

:cantstop: Did you even read the articles on this issue and see the chronology of events? Your initial take on the matter was proved completely wrong. You are referring to it as a minor issue, but you don't even acknowledge that yes, he did attempt to use his clout to get out of paying a duty. So, as I said earlier, you can continue to see the world through a prism.

No change from the stereotype Sirji...men in this country expect woman to take **** from their parents, deal with the parents while they choose to be the good son.........he just started it before marriage...that is the only change.

Tendulkar then reminded Dravid of the Sydney Test match, held less than a month ago. "...When we had both been batting on the fourth evening and Sourav had sent out two or three messages asking when we should declare and Rahul had carried on batting. The two situations were comparable and, if anything, the Sydney declaration was far more significant and may have cost a Test match and series victory. If Rahul was so keen show intent in Multan, he should have done the same in Sydney."
Dravid was the VC.It was the captain's call. When the captain made the call ...Dravid accepted it without much whining and making it into an issue....unlike the Multan issue which was turned into some kind of blasphemy of national importance.Nor will Dravid ever make it into an issue in his Autobiography ......because he is The Wall .

Dravid was just a stand in captain at Multan. Ganguly was around, he was the real captain, and he wasn't even consulted. Even the coach wasn't consulted. Good team work from Rahul.

So Dravid will show "intent" only when he is captain? And not when he is just a player? How selfish.

They were there in the dressing room.If it was any one else...the issue would not have become so big...but how dare any one not let Mr.sachin Tendulkar take his sweet time getting to his milestone. Remember Bangladesh....
