Badminton : Can India challenge the chinese ?

Few years this would have been unimaginable , but Last time I saw we had more players in Top-100 than the the chinese . I think we have at least 5-6 players who are potential Top-10s . Apart from Saina & Kashyap the likes of K srikranth , Sai praneeth , Sindhu , Ajay Jayram , Gurusridutt etc who have been consistenly beating the top players and winning tournaments . Check the on going China open . Srikanth to face Lin Dan in the finals & Saina is also in the womens finals .

Awesome..srikanth, kashyap, Saina, sindhu - we will have a good Olympic squad for badminton singles. Men will have to be more consistent. Big achievement this, for men.

Prannoy beat Lin Dan in the 1st round of French Open . Earlier this year Srikanth too beat the greatest badminton player of all time who went on to say that Srikanth was the most complete player he had played against. Indian badminton has well and truly arrived, the game we are best at presently. Hoping for a few medals in Rio.
