Nothing wrong in it. Its an inexperienced team. Apart from Kohli, none of the batsmen has played a test in Aus before. It's better to accept the reality than be deluded.

It's better to accept the reality than be deluded.[/quote'] what happened when we had experienced teams did we do any better, did we ever win more than one test in any overseas series last 25 years with all those legends. So this Indian team does not have to climb mount Everest to meet the standards set by previous teams , Indian overseas history has been pathetic even against weakest opponents. If they play hard, be positive and more importantly play to win rather than draw I would be happy. The delusion is somehow to think Indian cricket teams have done great things overseas in past.

what happened when we had experienced teams did we do any better, did we ever win more than one test in any overseas series last 25 years with all those legends. So this Indian team does not have to climb mount Everest to meet the standards set by previous teams , Indian overseas history has been pathetic even against weakest opponents. If they play hard, be positive and more importantly play to win rather than draw I would be happy. The delusion is somehow to think Indian cricket teams have done great things overseas in past.

u are not understanding.nobody said that the previous side was great overseas,they were good not great but what stood out was that they were very competitive in those series,didnt give up like we do nowadays. that team had great character,bounced back from defeats to draw series,didnt buckle shamefully at the 1st sight of pressure and that is what admired by not only indian fans but cricket fans around the world. we drew 1-1 in aus,lost narrowly 2-1 in 2007 when almost all touring teams were whitewashed,won in england in 2007 when england were a dominant force at home,won a test series in nzl(not a difficult thing but we saw how we fared just recently) and many more. thing is,ifu ask me,this team will have to climb everest to achieve those standards because as of now it looks far difficult to even draw a test,forget winning one!!

You must go for a win and not look to draw the 1st game on a considerably long series. b)Not playing a spinner knowing Australia's weakness against spin. c)KL Rahul should play as a wicket keeper not Saha.

U r wrong in so many ways....the match is in Gabba & not in Motera so we should go with 4 seamers.It's one of the fastest wicket along with Perth in Australia.So with our avg spinners like Ashwin,Karn or Jadeja I'd rather play an extra seamer.Now KL Rahul is an occasional keeper & u need a trusted one in test cricket also every team plays with 4 bowlers.Not a single team goes in with 5 specialist bowlers who can't bat.To balance out the team we need 6+1+4 combo.Anyway this is my opinion u can say or post whatever u want.

Australia isnt weak against spin in Australia. Only when ball turns. Ashwin, Kaddu wont turn an inch in Aus. 4 pacers will give you attacking options. Spinners will be defensive. We paid for playing spinner in NZ and SA.

When those guys were starting they also had massive debacles durban 66 all out in white wash series , 97 123 to win losing in WI ,99 white wash down under so we need to give these new guys time. Other than 2003-04 when they faced arguably the weakest bowling attack when they did well, last tour rout was with all those great players , Egnland in 2007 was a weak team and they needed a miracle in first test to stave off defeat otherwise that series was a drawn series. 0-8 was with indian almost most experienced team but Many people are trying to lump those defeats on this team. in England this team won one test on last tour and they did compete in nz and sa.if not for dhoni's negative captaincy they could have done better on all three tours. Personally i like this batting line up more and i expect them to do better once they get experience provided dhobi is not there to ruin it.
