If Republicans take control of the government in 2016 they can cancel it . There won't be any checks and balances. They should focus on legal immigrants like Indians rather than illegal immigrants.

At the moment, it is very unpopular among Republicans. Dems can ditch their own president/whip if it comes to their own survival.

But 2 years is long time and if you get a green card in the mean time. They cant take that away correct.

I don't know if they would want to risk presidency if they are not going to back Obama.

The Mexican man pleads with them, "No, noooo Segnor, I must stay in de USA! Pleeeze!" The Border Patrol Agent "Ok, I'll let you stay if you can use 3 english words in a sentence." The Mexican, of course, agrees. The Border Patrol Agent tells him, "The 3 words are Green, Pink and Yellow.......Now use all them in 1 sentence." The Mexican man thinks really hard for about 2 minutes, then says, "Hmmm, Ok...... The phone, it went Green, Green, Green, I Pink it up and sez 'Yellow?'"

That is your check and balance. Not your traditional Exec - Legislative - Judiciary check/balance, but C/B nevertheless.

Yes we will if that happens...Infact Indian legal immigrants are probably the least priority as they make a comparitively very less % of all green cards pending through a legal channel

Right now, more than 40 percent of my family salary goes to taxes. Don't mind paying them but atleast speed up our citizenship process then. If you can make such concessions for those who break the law, certainly you should make concessions for those who follow the law

If you can make such concessions for those who break the law,[b'] certainly you should make concessions for those who follow the law From what I have heard that is the deal,even though the bigger picture here is purely political in giving the illegal immigrants a legal status,I think the plan is to speed up the process for people who have applied through legal channels.
