StriKe Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 That's like ten years back what u r describing It has been very clean nowadays Even before 10 years..Beach was with plastic bags and waste papers due to food items being sold out but water was clean. do they allow people to swim ?? when i visited chennai , police walas were watching people not to go deep in the sea ( making sure no one is removing the nails :P ) there is no point having a beach but not allowing people to enjoy the sea Yeah they do..Kids of all of age used to play and people do swimming :nice: Only during the festival time(Vinayagar Chaturthi) and Govt Holiday, Police patrol will be high due to HEAVY crowds. Elliots/Besant beach is also clean, This is the place where you can see people playing Football/Cricket/Volleyball(Near the water) and chicks having fun + riding bikes :woot:

G_B_ Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 i think as far as climate goes Pune and Bangalore among the major cities who have it best. Mainly because both are located at a high altitude. Dont know about Coimbatore. Never been there.... As a rule of thumb minor or smaller cities are always better laid out/organised than major ones.

It was planned to be a smaller city with decent infrastructure to hold that much population but now struggling to cope with the heavy influx of middle class workforce.
Number Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Hyderabad to me looked quite decent as far as traffic is concerned. Weather is not too bad.

In london too the traffic sucks. But you have a very good public transport system for people to move quickly.
kubrickian Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 All Indian cities are big sh!tholes. Arguing over which is the best city among them is like a bunch of retards arguing which one of them is more intelligent.

Arguing over which is the best city among them is like a bunch of retards arguing which one of them is more intelligent. +1 exactly Having recently visited a few East and Southern African cities, Indian cities are rotten despite the economic boom in last 20 years. Most cities are well planned but infra just has not kept paced with the rapid urban population growth. With abysmal rubbish collection, unreliable power and water supply, planning issues with phone lines, gas lines, fibre optic lines, also on culture side like basic lack of traffic etiquettes, cleanliness... Long long way to go to even compare Indian cities to other similar developing countries.
vvvslaxman Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 It is incredible they won despite being ruled by these Dravidian parties for decades.
adi B Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Went to both Chennai and Hyderabad this June.gotta say the city(Chennai) Is very clean and safe. But I gotta tell ya that Delhi is far far ahead of any city in India in terms of infrastructure, projects, roadways etc ,was ranked as the 20th most fun city in the world. But of course their are many problem like traffic, water supply, excessive crime etc

randomGuy Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 In the category of housing' date=' [b']Hyderabad emerged as the best city. Best city in economy - Hyderabad :dance::dance: Best part was good affordable houses. Construction is solid, houses are big and they are affordable. Especially in hitech city, gachibowli areas. Weather is good for most part. Its not sticky at all. whenever it rains, it dry up quickly. Best weather is between 25C to 15C as per me, so Bangalore has the best weather year-round. People seriously lack driving sense. There are almost no parks. When it comes to open spaces, parks, big roads , delhi is the best. edit - Chandigarh and Coimbatore might be the best but population is relatively small (abt a million?). not sure if they should be included for comparison.
