Rahane was the best batsman in RSA,NZ,Eng combined. And today he got a howler remember. Moreover he has got maximum no of howlers in this team. Can easily count up to 5 decisions going against him in his short career. Pujara is a few levels below Rahane and Mooli.

For most of these guys, it's their first series in Australia. Kohli played in 2011/12 and only started to look solid by the 3rd test. Rahane, Pujara, Rohit, Dhawan and Vijay have not played a Test in Australia prior to this. I would stick with them until the end of the series. We only have Raina (who has been given plenty of Test matches overseas and consistently failed) and Rahul (another player who has never played in Australia before) so it's not like we many options anyway.

Can't see selectors drop Pujara especially with the home series coming up in next two years. I hope he gets a full season in county cricket and does all the India A tours.

OMG....if you start dropping everybody, who will play for india......he is a class player going thru a rough patch......he can certainly start contributing soon.... CLASS IS PERMANENT AND FORM IS TEMPORARY... Remember, when he gets going, he will get big hundreds.....usually double and some times triple
