Lord Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Also another opener. Dhawan is not a long term opener' date=' has too many technical and temperament issues.[/quote'] and a spinner.:((
Switchblade Posted December 21, 2014 Author Posted December 21, 2014 MS has led us to number 1 in the world in Test Cricket, we also outplayed Australia for large parts of the Test at the Gabba, how many Indian captains have inspired their team to do that? It's not his fault of our bowlers are not up to the mark! Also under Dhoni's leadership we won a Test at Lords's how many Indian captains have led us to that? Haters are going to hate!
ThePhenomenal1 Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Should have won joburg, should have drawn durban. Should have won 1st NZ test, or drawn it. Could easily have won the second had they got mccullum and attacked. Dont know about england, its a solid series but showed no fight from tests 3-5. They were 1-0 up. Should have won adelaide if not drawn. Were on top in Brisbon with m vijay and rahane doing well, and they got 2 wickets in the first hour day 3. Fact is, the team is good but dhoni and rohit and even ishant are not. All need to go with only ishant ever returning once he learns how to take wickets consistently. Play some shield games or county cricket u moron

SLICKR392 Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Agree with Dhoni. Its a young side. They competed very well in SA' date=' NZ, England in first two tests, in Aus. It was always going to be difficult phase with 4 consecutive away tours, completely rookie batting and bowling lineups. Just disappointed that they didnt capitalize when they should have on several occasions.[/quote'] + + Plenty of chances created, had they held on to it, we could have had a draw or series win in SA, NZ and a good one in Aus.

akshayxyz Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 If a process doesn't deliver in 4 years, there is to be something fundamentally wrong with the process itself.
Old guy Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 + + Plenty of chances created, had they held on to it, we could have had a draw or series win in SA, NZ and a good one in Aus. They literally dropped 2 series ...:giggle:
rkt.india Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 If a process doesn't deliver in 4 years' date=' there is to be something fundamentally wrong with the process itself.[/quote'] Why you talking about 4 years. We had completely different team before. Need to differentiate those two phases when seniors were on their last leg and now when we are in a rebuilding phase for last one year.
CG Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Many idiots keep on harping took us to no 1 ranking, they keep forgetting when he took over we were in the top 3.Now look where we are .

I dont think so... is Rohit Shamrma a rookie... is Rahane Shikhar Murli Virat inexperienced Still ?? I dont think so - if it is one's first 3 tests then one can consider a player a Rookie... Rohit has played so many one days and even these batters have played so many ODI's and quite a few tests too. IN bowling line up- is Ashwin a rookie? is Shammi a rookie? only Varun and Umesh are inexperienced to some extent. is ishant a rookie? NO....
vishalvirsingh Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 when you have a Manoj Tiwary and Kedar Jadhav Scoring BIG runs and they have the right temparament for TESTS why is Rohit PLayed. there are some guys who take a lot of pressure on onselves and i beleive Rohit is like that in Tests.. this results into his failing.he has no technique or talent issue but has Temparament issue. check the records of Manoj Tiwary - i guess he has hardly failed. Rohit used to fail miserably in ODI also initially - now on indian tracks - even i can pad up and play..so Rohit murders any trundlers and calls himself a big player. if every body calls him a big player then how can he be called a Rookie??
The Realist Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 India 'competing' in Australia, but is that enough? "The exciting part is that we have competed," Dhoni said. "The last time we were here we were not really able to compete. That is something very crucial because when you are competing and it is going to the last hour and the last day and the last moment, the match can turn. What it means is one good spell or a run out or a couple of catches... it all boils down to that. A little bit of luck really matters in cricket." :cantstop: http://www.gocricket.com/news/Australia-v-India-2014-15-India-competing-in-Australia-but-is-that-enough/articleshow/45601313.cms

Vijay, Kohli, Pujara the most experienced. How is Shami not rookie? He has not even played 10 tests yet.

Play some shield games or county cricket u moron Some of the games like these were drawn or won even by Srilanka and NZ. Putting up a fight once every five or ten matches is not the sign of a good team. They are getting better as a team since 2012, but this is still a weak touring team.
CG Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 When Ganguly left' date=' we were down in ranking then too.[/quote'] Yes ganguly overstayed and dhoni too.
CG Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I think we have lost great chance of overseas wins we toured england when they were down and out and they ere inexperienced lineup and now australia have rookies batting and bowling.Still we messed up.Next tour will be harder. If we are young pop teams have been more inexperienced.
