MK55 Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 There are so many guys better than dhwal..If he is considered. Bhuvi looked slow today and mohit looks better than bhuvi. This is BK's max speed. He is perpetually slow. New ball bowler at best. Thing that annoys me is that he used to bowl at 135k at the start of his career. But now he seems content at bowling 128-132k and does not want to work on his fitness.
Shivaji bhonsle Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Fastest bowler in the world? yeah, he and Milne.
rahulrulezz Posted February 15, 2015 Author Posted February 15, 2015 My man of the match!! The guy changed the match in one over. Got well set Shehzaad and ithe deadly S Maqsood in one over. Only Indian bowler I love watching. Go Yadav. Blow them away with your pace.
Shivaji bhonsle Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Rubbish bowling. Got two lucky wickets. oye. He bowled better in the middle overs. Obviously he has more control with the older ball.
gattaca Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Taking nothing away from umesh but it's the batsmen who threw wickets away after the pressure created by ashwin apart from one over
MK55 Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Taking nothing away from umesh but it's the batsmen who threw wickets away after the pressure created by ashwin apart from one over The preceding over also contributed. Umesh just gave away 1 run and Shehzad couldn't score of him. Something had to give in in his next over
Shivaji bhonsle Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Yeah, we should have played bhuvi bowling at 110kph terrorizing the batsmen.
rkt.india Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 oye. He bowled better in the middle overs. Obviously he has more control with the older ball. He was just lucky.
vishalvirsingh Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Umesh or Varun are always a bit of risk as Fast bowlers can be snicker for a lot of runs. These top batsman like shahzad umar can turn the match n One needs to get them out. That's where guys like shammi umesh matter. I guess younus wicket was big too.
Ian Pont Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Happy to see Shami, Varun, and Yadav at www.ultimatepacefoundation.com for more control with their pace and of course, more pace on top of that. There are some better things they could do with their actions to improve so the tweaks feel natural. This is not 'one size fits all'..,, but specialised for each bowler. Was impressed with the speeds as a base speed. Would be great to add 5kph plus with some better control.
sensible-indian Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Umesh bowling apart from 2 overs (1 over some 1 or 2 runs and another over where he got 2 wickets) was BAD.
MK55 Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Some improvement needed. Sometimes he slides down the leg side unintentionally, on other occasions he looks to over attack and ends up bowling too straight and full. Some more yorkers would also help. Though he wasn't at his best, his 2 wickets in his second spell were DEFINITELY the turning point. Had they got to 50 -60 additional runs at that stage, things could have been very different. If we were to do well in the tournament, him striking in the middle overs is absolutely crucial.
Bleed-Blue Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 He is definately A wicket Taker And That's Waht we need
Number Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Did Dhoni abuse him in frustation when he bowled a big wide to Sohail Khan in his last over ? It looked like so.:cantstop:
BeautifulGame Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 He may be lucky but he definitely has the knack to pick wkts in middle overs .Particularly in flat wkts He did the same in CT when he picked up the well settled De Villiers
AmreekanDesi Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Performance was a slap on the faces of everyone who say pure pace doesnt work Shami and Him were both 140+ and both bowled superbly and put them on the backfoot If the likes of Binny, the Kumars were playing than they would have been tonked
rahulrulezz Posted February 16, 2015 Author Posted February 16, 2015 How can we all forget the damage he did under Kohli against Lanka and WI. Was unplayable with the new ball
rkt.india Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 How can we all forget the damage he did under Kohli against Lanka and WI. Was unplayable with the new ball Umesh had bowled with a slightly different action in that series and had better control. With this actin, he always sprays the ball more. That action is better for him.
