Lord Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Agree partially but these bowlers have to show some reponsibility too,atleast someone like Ishant.No one denies their talent but they simply don't have basic cricketing sense and basic control you need.You can blame captain,coach,pitches,weather etc but unless these guys themselves show intent to improve nothing will happen.As someone said in other threads,I dont they work hard in the nets etc. As for options,we do have guys like Bumrah,Pandey,VP Singh.While the current lot deserve more chances they have to deliver soon imo

We need to stick with these guys, lets see how they do at home

Best attack Yadav Shami Ashwin Jadeja Some other spinner Reserve seamer: Ishant Reverse swing at pace will fetch alot of wickets for Shami and Yadav I think so I would pick them over Ishant. With the SG ball they would be alot more likely to get that reverse and have done so far in the handful of home tests they have played. ++

Besides, he's nearly 30 and we need to invest in pacers who can give us 7-8 yrs of service. Pacers usually burn out faster, so Pankaj at best would prob be useful for 5 yrs more.

They've done bad in this series, but they're more or less the best we have and can't write them off so quickly. However, that doesn't mean that we should not give any other people chances.

And one interesting thing that I have noted is that Yadav actually bowls better when Aaron's there to give him competition:haha:
