Shivaji bhonsle Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Should have been there ahead of some dude. Not sure why we need 3 spinners in Australia. Its a costly mistake. What are your thoughts on this issue. Discuss.

rkt.india Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Odds are ishant will get injured and he will be in anyways No, replacements are already there in Mohit and Dhawal. Reportedly, Dhoni had asked for either Aaron or Mohit, but selectors refused and included Binny instead.

MK55 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 He should have been included. Would have been a wicket taking option in the middle overs. Even players like Milne and Cummins are expensive but they are there for the WC. He should have at least been the next in line but the selectors have chosen a player like Kulkarni:--D Its like the selectors have no plans for considering him in the ODI setting. Cant understand the reasoning behind this. Strike bowlers always have a role in ODIs
Malcolm Merlyn Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 we go to Australia with only 4 pacers. Hopefully Ishant is injured and Aaron gets a chance. And fecking Binny and his father never get anywhere near BCCI and Team India.
Sooda Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 If Jadeja gets injured will there be a replacement- and can that be a paceman? The squad was only 4 pacemen of which 3 will play in the XI... its risky for sure.

Soorma_Bhopali Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Fecking selectors Sent from my GT-S5830i using Tapatalk 2 I agree with the selectors.. one seam owling allrounder is necessary for Australia & NZ ..However, it is debatable whether it should be Rishi Dhawan or Binny ..no international experience for RD would have gone against him
Sooda Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Varun in for Binny would have probably made it the near perfect squad
fineleg Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Aaron is no world-class bowler, he is just another. But YES - given our stupid bowling, Aaron is better than a few others, so he should be in the WC squad. Agreed.
Insidious Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Even Bangladesh has included their fastest bowlerTaskin Ahmed. When will india learn?
Shivaji bhonsle Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 Even Bangladesh has included their fastest bowlerTaskin Ahmed. When will india learn? We are Indians. We don't like to bowl fast. #Sanjay Manjerakar#..:headshake:
Vilander Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Bats and bowls like shyt, but still makes it to Indian WC squad at the cost of the only 150+ bowler India has.
Ultimate_Game Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Yup, Varun "Thomson" Aaron would have paired with Umesh "Lillee" Yadav and blown every team away.

Ultimate_Game Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Still better than trundlers bowling at 115ks... Nope. Shyte is shyte be it at 115 kph or 135 kph. I would take Praveen Kumar's control at 125 kph anyday over the dross Aaron & Yadav bowl.
Shivaji bhonsle Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 Wahab riaz is as erratic as any fast bowler, but Pakistanis have included him because he can be a match winner on his day. We haven't realized this after so many years.

We haven't realized this after so many years.[/quote'] Pakistan included Wahab Riaz as they have nobody else. He's cr@p and I can't even recall one decent performance by him. Last I saw of him was when he was being taken to cleaners by Kohli in Asia cup leaking more than 10 runs an over. Pakistan is the last team we should look to emulate. They have hardly won anything ever. Look to Aussies for inspiration if you want to and they go with likes of Hazlewood etc. They pick bowlers based on performance and not speed gun and that's what we should be doing. A wkt at 130 kph is as useful as the one which comes from a 150 kph delivery. If you don't have decent fast bowlers stick to decent medium paced ones than go with 140 kph trash where every other delivery is hammered to the boundary.
