Ashwin isn't needed for odis in Australia.Today he was pathetic and was able to get only wicket of Baily.Akshar Will get every game including tri sereis and wc ad a bowler.So Jadeja should be preferred over Ashwin. If binny has extra pace like he and others have stated, then thats a bonus.

Most squads are full of right hand bats so we don't need off spin varsity much.There is Raina for few Overs anyway . Another advantage with Axar is he seems very good in death Overs as well. Our batting and fielding will be much better with these 2 instead of Ashwin Ashwin is just useless bowling these leg stump lines. Unless there is decent turn in latter stageswe need to keep Ashwin as just back up

Bowls so defensively, still going for 6 rpo. Got a lucky break in Bailey down the leg. Otherwise, never looked like picking up a wicket. Axar at least just conceded 45 runs in 10 overs. Ashwin has played 88 ODI matches and his best is 3/24. Even in home conditions, he has not been able to pick more than 3 wickets even once.
