Well I really see a bleak future for PAkistan in the coming World cup... With Junaid out and Misbah doubtful for World cup PAkistan team is almost a minnow level team now.. I fear we can easily get knocked out We are destined to lose against India? SA will beat us.. W.I. bowlers have haunted us in last 2 ICC events i.e. CT and WT20 Zimbabwean seamers troubled our batting quite a bit they can beat us We might beat UAE Ireland game is our last and will most likely be a do or die game for us and we can crumble under pressure So all in all I dont see Pakistan reaching QF, would consider it a big acheivement if they do that against the odds

@Hur Rizvi - If Misbah is out trust me its a blessing in disguise. He should not have played the WC in the first place considering his form and age. Umar/Maqssod replacing him is a way better thing.

Misbah's not playing? Well there goes pakistan's chance of reaching quarters.
Lol he and that Younis are tuk tuk players, remember in 2011 WC they played slow and put themselves under pressure towards the end.

Given the format where you play 3 non test playing sides pak has to mess up big time to get knocked out in first round. That said I don't think they have the team to win 3 high pressure games in a row but with bit of luck they could make semis

Any top 8 nation which fails to qualify for the QFs should take a hiatus from cricket after they go home in my opinion. The cup is designed is such a way that no matter how bad you are, you should be able to advance if youre not a minnow. One bad day wont make a difference like in 2007. Several bad days will and if it comes to that then that team needs to seriously consider its place in the cricketing world

It's not about 1 bad day Pakistan cant even when in UAE and going by LAst few ICC outings they have very little chance against W.I. , India and SA That would mean Games against Ireland and Zimbabwe are pretty much do or die games and both of them are capable of beating our sorry unit

Misbah despite all his short-comings is our best batsman by far, without him we are incapable of playing 50 overs even against minnows like Ireland and Zimbabwe

I see Pakistan finishing 3rd in our group. and I do see New Zealand finishing 2nd in group a. Meaning - Pakistan will be facing NewZealand at their home in Quarter final stage. It will be really tough for Pakistan that game. New Zealand is a side which is beatable, but they are really strong in odi's at home, just like any other side at their home. And in world cup, they will have full support of their crowd. Pakistan will have to really bowl hard to break the heart of their batting line up which is Williamson-McCullum and Taylor.

this! Afridi and hafeez are the biggest minnow bashers if there ever were one. im expecting pak to beat the minnows barring Ireland to pulp tbh
