Who said they are oppressed btw? A lot of Muslims died 12 years ago and so did Hindus, more Muslims died and it was investigated so what has that to do with change in population? Hindus died in many riots, did anybody look at the next census and tried to relate the stats to riots? I see the population increase related to poverty and illiteracy. Maybe everybody else has stats on population change of each religion, caste, region etc which I don't have.

If one were to follow and trust some of the coverage by some of the English language news channels, one might be compelled to believe so. Hindus died in many riots, did anybody look at the next census and tried to relate the stats to riots? Look for religious demographic trends in Pakistan post 1947 riots in West Punjab in which Hindus and Sikhs suffered massive casualties. Look for religious demographic trends in Bangladesh post the 1971 genocide.

If the environment is not favourable then people of that religion will prefer to migrate to othert states and this will lead to downfall of population.Population increase means that muslims of Gujarat are not leaving the state
