^ respond by what? By own manifesto? That's like being one step behind all the time... Why allow AAP to dictate the terms or agenda?
Ab hum kya kar sakte hain dada? You know my thoughts on the Delhi BJP unit, and I'm more of an observer when it comes to Delhi.

I'm still waiting for the answer to the question of Kejri flying to Dubai in Executive class...
Why flying once in executive class is such a big issue ? I consider myself an aam admi and myself have flown in business class. Being aam admi doesn't mean being poor or incapable. As long as there is transparency, there shouldn't be a problem with anybody.

Why is he criticizing others doing the same when he does it too? There is a word for that kind of behavior. It is called hypocrisy.

Making a bid to woo all sections to return to power, the AAP on Saturday made a host of promises in its manifesto like 24X7 “affordable†power supply, free Wi-Fi across the city, installation of at least 10 lakh CCTV cameras for women security, making water a legal right and slashing VAT significantly. Releasing the manifesto, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal said the document was not just another electoral document but the party’s “Geeta, Bible, Quran and Guru Granth Sahib†which it will implement point-by-point if voted to power. “We want a Delhi where everyone will be proud of calling himself or herself its resident. Where every class grows equally, irrespective of caste or religion,†Kejriwal said adding the manifesto is a product of four months of “intense researchâ€. Among the significant announcements in the manifesto, the party promised to push for Delhi’s statehood and bring down the VAT charges in Delhi to the lowest level among all states and Union Territories within five years. In order to ensure women security, the party promised to install 10-15 lakh CCTV cameras all over the city along with ensuring a security guard in every bus. “If 15,00O CCTV cameras can be installed for Barack Obama why can’t the same be done for our mothers and sisters? We will install 10-15 lakh CCTV cameras along with putting a security guard in every bus,†the former Chief Minister said. He said the existing Home Guards will be deployed in this respect and their employment will no longer be contractual. He said free Wi-Fi was a “basic necessity†in today’s times and the party will make sure that every citizen can connect to the Internet wherever they are. The manifesto said the party will not allow FDI in retail in Delhi. The manifesto also reiterates the party’s long-standing promise of slashing power tariff by half till the audit of private discoms. “We will slash the power tariff by half. After that we will ensure a rigorous audit of the private discoms which have had a free run till now,†Kejriwal said, adding water availability will be made a “legal rightâ€. In the field of education, the party said apart from opening 500 new schools and 20 new colleges, it will launch a Higher Education Guarantee Scheme enabling students to avail loan from banks without having the need to furnish any collateral by making the government a guarantor. The party’s manifesto also promises to create 900 new Primary Health Centres and to increase the number of government hospital beds by 30,000. To ensure “speedy justice†for victims of sexual assault, the party will operationalise 47 fast-track courts, if voted to power. Holding the 1984 anti-Sikh riots as one of the “lowest points†in history of Delhi, the party said it will notify an SIT to “reinvestigate†the killings. The party also resolved to legislate the Jan Lokpal Bill to ensure time-bound investigation in matters of corruption. Legislating the Swaraj Bill is also on the party’s agenda with an aim to “devolve†power directly to the people. The party said that it will regularise unauthorised colonies within “one year†of coming to power. Before that as an “immediate measure†it will provide registration rights to the residents of those colonies paving the way for electricity and sewer lines. To confer freehold rights to residents of resettlement colonies, the party manifesto proposes a simplified mechanism wherein original allottees will receive ownership of their plots for Rs 10,000. Kejriwal also took a dig at BJP for not coming out with a manifesto, saying the saffron party did not have an agenda for the capital. “BJP could not even bring out its manifesto which shows the party has no agenda for Delhi. Or may be they are ashamed that they could not finish a single task as promised during the Lok Sabha polls,†he said.
http://indianexpress.com/article/cities/delhi/arvind-kejriwal-announces-aaps-manifesto-promises-to-push-for-delhi-statehood/ I am quite disappointed actually. They should have abolished VAT altogether. Not just, VAT, even sales taxes. And power tariff should be reduced by 90%, not half. Water should be free for all. Well...I guess if it is a legal right, it must be free. And wi-fi should be broadband. And only 500 new schools??? I want at least 1000 more, such a disappointment :((

At this point' date=' I am really hoping that Kejriwal does become the CM. According to this manifesto, Delhi will be challenging Disney World for the title of "Happiest Place on Earth".[/quote'] :cantstop: I share your sentiment. They should've promised the youth of Delhi free admission into Hogwarts as well, with a free broom.

This election is basically a direct contest between lower middle class' date=' slums, minorities, libtards vs the aam aadmi middle class.[/quote'] 'Aam aadmi middle class' isn't always right. BJP supporters would have agreed if you asked them in those 15 years of Cong. rule in Delhi.

Delhi elections 2015: BJP favourite and AAP the dark horse among bookies

NEW DELHI: A week before Delhi goes to polls, the illegal betting market seems to have decided that Bharatiya Janata Party will emerge a clear winner and Kiran Bedi will be chief minister. But, with BJP being the 'favourite' of bookies, betting on this party will get you the least number of bucks. Betting on Aam Aadmi Party will fetch one more than double his money while no bets are being accepted for Congress party as of now because bookies believe chances of its winning the polls are quite bleak. The rates for BJP floated on Saturday were 1:36, i.e. for every Re 1 placed on BJP, one would get 36 paise upon victory. The odds for BJP were 1:2.5, a master bookie said. "This means that if one places Rs 1 lakh on BJP he or she would get only Rs 36,000 if the party wins the Delhi election. However, placing the same amount on Aam Aadmi Party will fetch them Rs 2.5 lakh," said the bookie. For the CM candidate, the bookies TOI spoke to said that if one betted Rs 1 lakh on Kiran Bedi as CM, they'd get Rs 36,000 and, if they place the same amount on Arvind Kejriwal, they would win Rs 2.5 lakh. "Most people are playing safe by betting on Bedi as she is the candidate from what seems to be the strongest party," another bookie, operating from New Delhi area, said. They unanimously predicted that BJP was going to bag 40-42 seats and Aam Aadmi Party 20-22 seats. Apart from parties and CM candidates, bets are also being accepted on individual candidates from any of the 70 constituencies. However, bookies are getting bets only on seats in which a tough fight is expected — such as New Delhi, Krishna Nagar and Mayur Vihar from where Arvind Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi and Manish Sisodia are, respectively, contesting. More than Rs 1,000 crore is at stake as far as the satta market is concerned. Last year, bookies suffered huge losses when AAP emerged as the surprise winner in many seats. Betting is illegal in India and police register cases under the Gambling Act whenever they receive information about any such activity.

This election is basically a direct contest between lower middle class' date=' slums, minorities, libtards vs the aam aadmi middle class.[/quote'] You could add so many things. MIM & AAP are already together in this elections and Congress will always join them post elections if necessary. Even Kejriwal had admitted that. But the main support of AAP is the paid media. It's shocking biased this time around, even supposedly neutral sites like firstpost is being totally anti-BJP. The media is doing some solid propaganda for AAP. Aaj Tak and ABP in particular while NDTV obviously being its usual anti-BJP.

I've already said that...Kejri iis already preparing the grounds that as a CM he will continue to do Dharnas... He'll do anything to project himself as a martyr, trying to do things but unable to do because of BJP at centre....
Exactly. He has put a lot of BS in the mainifesto which will cost tons of money in reality. A lot more than the Delhi budget. So he's is only going to undermine centre and our national security. The AAP party is afraid of answering BJP questions. y In just 1 year, majority of its candidates have increased their wealth substantially. We should be very afraid if such person comes into power again. How can we forget, this Kejriwal wanted to jail all those who were questioning him when he was CM. He has little respect for our institutions, decmocracy and even women.

Fast moving events today... 1. Kejriwal alleges that BJP has insulted his whole Agarwal community in today's Newspaper Ad... He's given BJP a deadline of 2 hrs to withdraw the Ad or he'll take action... (Not sure how a newspaper Ad can be withdrawn... :giggle: ). 2. One Narendra Tandon, assistant campaign manager of KB has resigned from BJP, citing KB's dictatorial ways... BJP says its a non-issue. The guy has resigned form BJP on earlier occasions too...
