The cycle goes : Vote for populism - Reap short term benefits - Eventually realize that govt. can't fulfill promises - Start agitation - Once elections are back, Vote for populism. The problem with stage 4 this time around is that the agitation will be led by the CM himself. He has enough people fooled to believe every word he says.

BJP should introspect on strategy. This election if it had taken place month or so after lok Sabha the result would have been opposite.
