Not on non SC pitches, he's a hell of a batsman don't get me wrong, but in tests he can sit back for a while and cash in later, he cant do that in the WC.

Kohli all his career would always start slow then pick up the pace. Except the series where everyone made tons of runs he always took a bit of time to get going. That has nothing to do with pitch. He might very well do the same in ODIs here. You cannot make 20 plus centuries without knowing how to pace your innings in different conditions.

Exactly. Kohli rarely goes hammer and tongs from the word go. He has the ability to change his gears rapidly. So when Kohli goes early he does not look good, but when Kohli gets past 30-40 he is a very different player and nearly unstoppable. Kohli is still a young player and he is yet to fix all his glitches. He has not reached his peak yet, like other players like ABD. When Kohli reaches his peak in 3-4 years time, he will be a different beast.
