We are so used to playing Malinga in 5-6 years. Malinga does not prose that x-factor to us that he does to ther teams. He did not do much against Aus or England, why? Why didnt he do much against Aus last tour and only SL. Even GG who was struggling scored runs against Aus last tour in ODIs, but he did not. If he does that, I will change my opinion. Talking about Afghanistan, their fast bowlers are pretty good, I would like to have a Hamid Hassan in Indian team any day. kohli was not able to score against aus in 2012 ODI. Except for that hobart century. This time, the pressure on him is huge. Also, even in champions trophy, except final, he did not do much, apart from pakistan and sri lanka.

He has patience to weather the new ball and go ballistics towards the end which will be ideal for the pitches in Oceania. Yes, this time, rohit sharma looks composed. He has learnt, and he was under pressure to get selected for the world cup. After that selection, he has settled down quite nicely.

Kohli has contributed in ICC tournaments big time for India. People often forget his partnership with GG stabilized the innings in '11 and who can forget his knock in '13 CT final.

Not first time someone was criticized for failures. Even SRT is not spared. You are praised and get adulation for good performance. Though his real test is against teams like SA, Aus, NZ, and England which have better pace attacks, on pitches like gabb a, MCG, perth, not on Adelaide patta. Its no criticism. I just want him to do well there. He does well, team will automatically do well.

Just an excuse to stick to your theory :cantstop: If he had failed today you would have said "against good attacks" since you said Afghanistan was a good attack.

I had said Afghanistan pacers were better and I still stick to it. Hamid Hassan and Daulat are better than pacers from Pak and India in this WC.

Ball just carried with lot of bounce. He was hitting good channels as well. Both him and Sohail.
