Remind me one free flowing g innings played by Kohli in Aus against good pace attacks. He is batting exactly the way he should bat in these conditions. I don't see any problem with his approach. Would you want him lose wicket in an attempt to score quickly early on?

People not able to differentiate batting in SC and Aus. You cannot expect Indian bats to bat in Aus the way they bat in India.

We lose out more than we gain however. As a free flowing bat he can take the game away single-handedly

It worked so far....this is a big tournament and everyone's role is clearly chalked out.....and he is the one who should provide the solidarity to this batting line-up.....this is way too difficult that playing freely.....he has lot more responsibility now

infact this is a huge plus as for india .....this is what missing in Ozzie line up and SA line-up.....So bad that Kallis for SA and Ponting / clarke for AUSTRALIA are not playing anymore who used to do this......

thats what i wrote too in match thread also during tri series i felt they were aiming too high but they clearly learned the lesson and i am so happy that they are respecting new ball .

Today he was beginning to find boundaries. Got out to a rubbish ball. He would put that away 99 out of 100 times. A Yard either side would have got him a 4.

The pressure of the world cup & the form leading up to it, has certainly weighed on Kohli. He seems burdened with expectations. Once he sees Rohit, Dhawan & Rahane among runs, he will believe & play a bit more naturally. But i'd rather have Kohli play safely & hold one end up. If our bowling and fielding standards are maintained we don't need 350. We can defend 300, so we are more in need of a sane Kohli than a mad one right now.
