Gambit Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Anyone else get that feeling post his innings v Pak and RSA so far? He has made runs but not with the fluency, rate and authority with which he normally plays. He's trying to play some kind of sheet anchor role which really isn't required.

I don't even know where people come out with theories like this. You should work for India TV, I see great potential

As a free flowing bat he can take the game away single-handedly i am not saying its right tactic or wrong ..just stating why he is playing like that and most other teams have one such player too. i would imagine if rohit does not get out and dhawan does then kohli will take the attacking role .

Rahane can be our anchor.[/quote'] another thing is when he bats first his strike rate is only 85 in comparison with 92 when he bats first. he doesn't go mental very often when he bats first that too inside 30 overs.

It is natural to be a bit circumspect here especially on bigger grounds.

A very Rahul Dravid kind of role to make sure he rotates and still keep the score board ticking. Most trusted player and I am fine with it. It has helped us in both games We scored 300 in a tense game and here again platform is set.
