In the past, the reason the team hasn't done well is mainly because it was not strong enough. There are no non-cricketing reasons such as what SA suffers from. SA fails despite being a strong team .... In this edition, NZ is strong so let's see what it makes out of this opportunity
veer Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 There is a possibility of NZ losing in Finals.. Up to semi final, they are getting home turf advantage. They will be hard to beat there. MCG final.. NZ vs India/Aus will be fun.

Ram Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 I am not completely sold on the new zealand batting order. Martin Guptill has been around forever without making a meaningful impact on the game. Ross Taylor is the Marlon Samuels of New Zealand - Brilliant in his day, but largely unreliable otherwise. And Grant Elliott? Who is that dude? These three guys make up 70% of their top 5. You can catch them in their bad days.

One way NZ can effectively compensate for their largely untested batting is by making sure their bowlers never concede too many runs by leaving some there in the pitch for their pacers. Plus, it seems like the NZ public is really rallying around the team this around, sensing an historic chance to win. My favorites to win this tournament in the order are Aus, South Africa, NZ, Lanka, India, West Indies and Pakistan
The Outsider Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Kane Williamson is the player to watch out for after their ultra-aggressive strategy falls short. It might not happen in this WC, but NZ are due for a place in the final. He is the one who can help NZ control their game a tad.
