Rarely have I seen a game where both teams are just going for each other's throat. Entire duration of match being 50 overs. Please put up some of the other memorable WC matches.
Cricketics Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Best will always be Aus vs Saf 1999 wc semi final to me. It will be hard to match until something like that happens again in a knockout game. Match od the millenium for me. Game kept turning back and forth and finally had that last run out twist for us, which is what the game is remembered for. There was ome amazing genius bowling of Shame Warne in that game too.

First WI have Aus 4/15, only for Law and Bevan to mount a rescue operation which takes them to the relative safety of 8/207. Then after getting to 2/165 in the chase, WI completely lose the plot, and lose 8/37 to fail by 5 runs. Not quite as crazy a game as yesterday's, but nearly as many twists and turns - especially toward the end. People forget that WI beat Aus in round robin in do or die match for them. WI lost to Kenya. They came back to the tournament like a team possessed. I know Richie Richardson played a blinder then
