That was 4 years ago the the Australian team was much worse (Ponting was out of form along with others). Sri Lanka was also a much better team back then. This should be another easy win for Australia.

More than mental block,I think its the match up.aus really struggled against the swing bowlers of lanka and lanka played 4 pacers most of the time.they bundled out aus for 150,50s lol unheard phenomenon!! Now aus look more stronger though and pitches have been ridiculously flat compared to those tours

They didn't have any very good bowlers and their batsman were never consistent. And the Sri Lankan team has completely deteriorated over the last 2 years.
Number Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Bowlers afaik Kulasekara used to do the most damage with Malinga. I don't think SL has changed much since then. Even now their top batsman are back in form. However Warner has evolved a lot since then. Smith is a lot better than Forrest Gump and David Hussey. Finch in place of Matthew Wade is also better.
