Your line and length with control legends bowlers like Srinath, Kapil n Zak are not even +5 average close to Shoaib. Pace is pace and you can't deny it. Also, since we are talking about Odis, some arrogant indian fans who do name calling of Tait, not one, I repeat, not one Indian bowler has better bowling average than Tait in Odis.

Then get rid of all the bowling coaches, batting coaches from every team. International exposure and pressure is also another way of getting your line and length. He won't learn that in domestic dead pitches and that pressure. Steyn wasn't gun bowler till he got more exposure and coaching

Since he came back from that stress fracture he has played 4 complete ODIs, 3 ODIs in New Zealand where every bowler got smacked and he has had one bad performance against Bangladesh.

Its about him not even being considered in the squad and someone like Kulkarni (as backup) preferred over him in these conditions

One could make the case in Australia for the third seamer's slot where Cummins vs Hazlewood is on.
