Why should it matter? Because the same player is playing here as well, someone who stood up when it mattered. In a knockout match against strong opposition. Whatever miller has made now isn't anywhere near that.

The likes of Duminy and Miller are horrible under pressure.Also Duminy cant play off spin Raina is a proven player under pressure so is much more reliable in a wc particularly in knock outs
Sid Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 That leg side hack Sarfaraz got all his runs against Duminy ,Tahir and AB I reckon.It shows clear lack of planning on part of Saffers that they were bowling spinners and part timers to him,played right into his hands.
adi B Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Kallis was such an assest for them.he was a great 4th seamer and I bet today he'd have brought calm to the run chase by slowing it down,all the saffers looked in a hurry,nobody looked to stay on and play out the overs,off course the bowling was top class

Is this something to gloat about really? And I don't give much regard to numbers, what matters is that everytime SA needed him to step up, he failed, against Pak and Ind - when SA were under tremendous pressure. Today's innings was nothing short of an eyesore - 0 from 12 balls. Duminy? 115* vs Zimbabwe 6 vs ind 12 vs Pak Nope, nothing there either. When it mattered, and against top teams, he's come out cropper.

By teh way SA should ahve lost the match against Zim if not for Miller & Duminy. You have to thank them atleast pushing SA till QF :hysterical:

But look at it closer. If one eliminated the associates, Zim and Ban the resultant stats look like 109 matches, 2623 runs @ 31.60 - A shocking decrease of nearly 9 points by eliminating just 28 matches. Remove the lowest placed full member, WI from that, and the average further plummets to 28.69. Same goes for Dave Miller as well. Averaging about 38 overall. But removing associates and Zim, the average plummets to 31.65. Remove WI and the average is an Afridiesque 26.3 And both of them make the XI as regular batsman :hysterical: SA :facepalm: Its basically a three man team, AB, Amla and Steyn. Some days Morkel turns up as well. And they call this team the favorites to win the World cup.
